/in Uncategorized/by Robert MandelbaumAt the November 12, 2017 Cornell Master of Management in Hospitality (MMH) Reception, Elizabeth Blau, MS ’97, was honored as MMH Outstanding Alumna of the Year. Blau is the founder and CEO of restaurant development company Blau + Associates, and is widely credited with transforming Las Vegas into the world-class culinary destination it is today. The Cornell MMH Reception is held annually during HX: The Hotel Experience as a networking event for MMH alumni, current students, and industry leaders. The highlight of the reception is the presentation of the MMH Outstanding Alumni of the Year Award presented by the Master of Management in Hospitality (MMH) program. The award recognizes an MMH or MPS alumna/alumnus who has demonstrated exceptional career progression and continued service to the School of Hotel Administration and its students. The event was held at the Todd English Food Hall in the Plaza Hotel.

CHS South Florida – Banfi Food & Wine Festival
/in Uncategorized/by Robert MandelbaumOn November 4, 2017 the CHS South Florida Chapter held the Banfi Food & Wine Festival at The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, FL. Guests enjoyed award-winning Banfi wines paired with gourmet dishes from six restaurant stations. The waterfront venue provided the perfect laid-back atmosphere for guests to mingle and bid on exciting silent auction items. Afterwards guests headed to the hidden lounge, Nokku, inside the Diplomat for the after party. A special thank you to the event sponsors Castello Banfi, JW Marriott Turnberry Miami and JW Marriot Nashville for making this special event possible! This was the Chapter’s largest fundraising event of the year and proceeds will benefit the CHS South Florida Student Scholarship Fund.
