Giving Back to the Industry and to Cornell
Keith was a founding board member of Women in Hospitality Travel & Leisure. He was also one of the founding board members of WiHTL in the U.K., the world’s only collaboration community devoted to increasing inclusion across Hospitality, Travel and Leisure. As a family, the Barrs are actively involved in preparing meals monthly in Hawaii for the families who stay at the Ronald McDonald house.
At Cornell, Keith serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board at the Nolan Hotel School and on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. He is a member of the Cornell University Council and Cornell’s SC Johnson College Leadership Council. He regularly speaks, teaches, and mentors faculty members and students at Cornell, having been invited as a featured speaker in the Dean’s Distinguished Lecture Series on three separate occasions.
